In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will present on part 1 of this two part series on fatty acid oxidation. During this lecture we discuss the transport of fatty acids within the bloodstream, as well as the activation of fatty acids. We also talk about the translocation of fatty acids from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria via CPT-1, and CPT-2.
