In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on the autoregulation of the kidney. We will be describing the fascinating functions of the kidney including its own intrinsic ability to control the blood pressure through several mechanisms. We will begin our discussion on a couple of ways our kidneys are able to accomplish this through the tubuloglomerular feedback mechanism, and the myogenic mechanism. We will then be transitioning into a major mechanism known as the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone-ADH-System (RAAAS).
