In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on Drugs for Hyperlipidemia. During this lecture we will start with reviewing the basic pathophysiology of Hyperlipidemia. After we review Hyperlipidemia Pathophysiology, we will be moving into the various drug categories that are used to treat Hyperlipidemia including: HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitors, Niacin, Fibrates, Bile Acid Sequestrants, Cholesterol Absorption Inhibitors, and PCSK9 Inhibitors.
